I have decided to start 2026 by reviewing all the books I read in 2025. My reviews are not long and are not certainly meant to be taken with anymore seriousness than if a stranger in your second-hand bookstore where to tell you the same thing.
Ray Comfort’s The Defender’s Guide to Life’s Toughest Questions is a sound and practical resource for any who are unsure on how to answer tough atheist questions. Ray’s defence avoids the sarcasm and name calling and focusses on the central issues. Much of the book is spent on Darwin’s theory of Evolution, as many of the atheist’s questions surrounded that topic. I found it equipped me with Biblical reason, but also explored these questions in depth.
Comfort’s heart is shown through his care for the atheists that he is rebutting. It is clear that he does not wish to dunk on those who do not know, but open hearts and minds so that they may accept Jesus as their Lord and saviour.
I would recommend this book for those who either debate atheists or want to simply equip themselves, so that if the opportunity arises to defend your faith, you might be prepared.
