I have decided to start 2026 by reviewing all the books I read in 2025. My reviews are not long and are not certainly meant to be taken with anymore seriousness than if a stranger in your second-hand bookstore where to tell you the same thing.
The Man The Moment Demands by Jason Wilson is an encouraging guide to what the author describes as being a “comprehensive man”. That is a man who is ready to be what is needed of him in any given moment.
Wilson explores ten characteristics, which includes the fighter. I found this characteristic encouraging but also humbling, as it explores the need to be both the “lion and the lamb”, that is to be protective, but then to know how and when to switch from the aggressive protector to the calm headed on who won’t do anything reckless.
Wilson and his work are strongly based in principles of Christ and the Bible and I would recommend this book for every man, as it is an empowering guide that can help every man be who he needs to be.
